Rigid Stainless Steel Liners and Flue Pipes

These liners can provide a useful answer for relining certain types of chimney where it is best to fit a rigid system in an essentially straight chimney as the liners need to be lowered down the chimney. They can be wrapped or backfilled with insulation.

Pre-made and adjustable bends are available, but if they have to be fitted inside the chimney it is usually necessary to cut an access hole through the chimney walls and then make good afterwards.

We supply 1mm and also 0.6mm thick 316 grade liners that are CE marked and included in the HETAS list of approved products for use with solid fuel and wood burning appliances.

The 1mm thick pipes are also used for connecting a stove to a chimney and feature probably the most secure spigot and socket jointing available.

The Prima flue pipe or SP flue pipe system as we call it is available in a wide range of diameters and lengths with a selection of bends and adaptors to suit almost any job.

The telescopic pipes and adjustable bends are great for dealing with difficult installations, and the 0-90 degree adjustable bend is ideal for creating a "dog leg" when a stove has to be pushed that little bit out from the wall!

Relining Chimney and Building Regulations
It is a legal requirement that all relining installations comply with the Building Regulations, which for England and Wales is explained in the Approved Document J. These are minimum requirements aimed at making sure installations are safe.

Most people recommend using a HETAS registered installer to fit a stove and liner. However, you need to be sure that they are covered for this type of work.
