Here are some members from Team Topstak and why they will always help to make your house a home.


Christian Pedersen - Co-FounderChris Pedersen

Christian, co-founder of Topstak, has over 40 years’ experience in the stove and chimney industry. Staff and customers take full advantage of his technical and business expertise and he is always on hand to offer guidance. Christian has also served as Chairman for many national and international organisations, and he was previously the independent chairman of the HETAS Technical Committee, where he was recognised as championing the role of the retailer and installer.

He shares his passion for the business with fly fishing and sculpture.

Adam Pedersen

Adam Pedersen - Director

Adam has been working at Topstak since the company first began, and he uses his 16 years of experience to ensure that the business continues to thrive. He continually researches products so that Topstak can be the exclusive dealer for leading manufacturers and is proud to introduce new products into Topstak’s showrooms. Adam also oversees the wood fuel production and sources raw materials, whilst managing the workshop, warehouse distribution and general day to day management. Incredibly hard working and motivated, Adam particularly enjoys making and designing chimney components, as he loves setting himself challenges and then achieving these professional goals.

When Adam isn’t working he enjoys going on bike rides with his two sons, snowboarding in the French Alps or trying to improve his golfing technique.


Richard Finucane - Sales DirectorRichard Finucane

As Sales Director at Topstak for nearly 12 years, Richard is in charge of the Retail & Trade Sales Team and ensuring that the showroom and trade accounts are in order. His breadth of experience and approachable attitude means that he is able to deal with a variety of people, including installers, stove companies and our customers in the showroom. He also has extensive knowledge about Topstak’s products and has helped many of our customers to find the right stove for their home.

Although Richard is always kept busy at Topstak, he enjoys playing cricket, golf and attending rugby and football matches in his spare time.

Chris Brookfield

 Christian Brookfield - Sales & Kitchen Designer

 Christian has worked at Topstak for 10 years and his role includes Sales, coordinating  projects and working on kitchen designs. For customers looking for a new kitchen,  Christian will be on hand to help with advice as he has carried out many home visits  for kitchen installations. He also deals with Neptune Kitchens and has built a great  relationship with this manufacturer. Christian is extremely hard working and sociable,  particularly enjoying the fact that his jobs means he gets to meet lots of different  people through his variety of projects.

 Outside of work, Christian enjoys listening to music and spending time with his  children.

Phil Owens - Sales

Phil Owens

Phil is friendly, hardworking and approachable, which means he is the perfect fit for a job in Sales. He has worked in this role for 3.5 years and thoroughly enjoys meeting customers in the showroom and helping them to purchase their ideal stove. The journey from understanding the customer’s needs to seeing the finished installation is Phil’s main motivation, and he is passionate about excellent customer service. Phil’s role also involves site surveys and working on Topstak’s website and social media, so he is able to interact with customers online and offline.

Phil enjoys staying active and can be found playing football, rock climbing and swimming in his spare time.

Matthew YoungMatthew Young - Monmouth Showroom Manager

As someone that never shies away from a challenge, Matthew is determined to find the solution for every customer’s needs. His role as Showroom Manager means that he carries out site visits to find out the suitability of various installations and remains open minded and positive as he works out a solution. He also manages the level of stock and maintains the appearance of the Monmouth showroom so that our customers have the best possible experience at Topstak.


Simon HigginsZak Granger - Sales

Zak’s role as a Sales Assistant means a lot of his work involves helping out customers within the showroom, taking orders and assisting trade customers. He also actively helps maintain the upkeep of the showroom. Zak is enthusiastic, approachable and determined, and he enjoys meeting and assisting new customers until their needs are met. To him seeing people have a good experience with Topstak and leaving pleased is a satisfying and rewarding feeling.

Outside of work, Zak spends his time making and listening to music, drawing, skateboarding and helping with the Monmouth Off Street Project (MOSP).

 Shaun Kelly - Stock Controller

Shaun finds his job incredibly satisfying as he works in a variety of departments within the company. Although fairly new to the company, Shaun completes stock checks, data processing and works with the product location system, meaning that he can contribute to the many operational aspects in the company. He also assists in the warehouse and uses his conscientious, flexible and accommodating personality to ensure everything runs smoothly.

In his spare time, Shaun enjoys restoring old electrical items to their normal working order and collecting radio controlled models.

James Roberts – Sales

As a Sales Advisor at Topstak, James’ daily responsibilities include dealing with customers in the showroom, guiding them to the stove that best suits their needs, as well as venturing out to customers’ homes where he can do a site survey and assess what they need installed. James is hardworking, friendly and helpful and particularly enjoys seeing jobs from start to finish, and the transformation from what was there to the finished article. He’s also taken a keen interest in learning about and working with the Big Green Eggs.

When he’s not hard at work along with the friendly bunch at Topstak, James enjoys spending time with his family, watching sport such as rugby and football, and playing golf and darts when he can find the time.
