5 ways to transform your kitchen (and your cooking) with a range cooker

27th Dec 2017

The autumn months are the ideal time for investing in transforming your kitchen with a new cooking unit, and there are few things that can rival a freestanding range cooker when it comes down to flexibility and cooking capacity. What’s more, in addition to the varied functionalities a range cooker has to offer, it would also make a fantastic statement piece for your kitchen.

Browse these stunning Aga, Everhot and Esse Range Cookers, on display in our Cowbridge and Monmouth Showrooms for some inspiration on how to give your kitchen a makeover this fall:

1. AGA 60

The AGA 60 range cooker is exceptionally easy to use. Designed with simplicity in mind, the cooker has one control knob for the ovens and another for the hotplates. The ovens can be timed to come on and be ready to cook when you are, using a similar timer to the one used for programming central heating. The roasting/baking oven can in fact be programmed for up to three events a day with the optional extra AGA 60 Programmer.

2. Esse (905 WN)

Some of the unique features of this stunning Esse range cooker include two ovens with the capacity of 48 and 32 ltr, a hot plate for up to 6 pans, wood burning cooker and optional domestic hot water boiler. The cooker is suitable for continuous burning and has radiant heat output up to 5kW.

Oven temperatures can be adjusted to your preference via a mechanism located inside the firebox door. You can also draw extra air into the firebox to boost temperatures or during lighting. With the 905 you can keep the fire going – load the firebox in the morning and just place some extra fuel before cooking dinner.

3. Everhot (120)

Perfect for family cooking and larger kitchen spaces, the Everhot 120 Series provides an excellent choice of cooking methods. The classic thoroughbred cooker’s performance is superb, providing both warmth and cooking versatility for your kitchen.

This exceptional cooker is available in two options – the 120 and 120i. While the Everhot 120i features three ovens and the controls to the cooker concealed behind the fourth door, the 120’s control boxes are external, thus allowing you to enjoy four cast iron hotplates and four ovens.

4. AGA (5-oven Total Control)

Featuring baking, roasting, slow cooking, simmering and warming ovens, the new 5-Oven AGA Total Control series are ideal for those with bigger kitchens, large families and passionate cooks. With the same footprint and unsurpassed cooking performance as the 4-over AGA, the 5-Oven AGA cooker is available as a standard Total Control model or with iTotal Control technology, and can be regulated through a touch screen control panel which allows you to decide how and when it’s used.

5. Esse (990 EL)

A true all-rounder, the 990EL offers great cooking versatility with its three independently controlled ovens, a full-width grill and a dual hotplate combining an innovative induction zone with a traditional cast iron hob. While the 990EL can be used as a simple on and off kitchen appliance thanks to its fast heat up times, we recommend the ‘slumber’ mode which gives out small amounts of comforting warmth to the room until you are ready to jump into action and start cooking.
