Topstak to the rescue

When Michelin-star chef, Tomos Parry, was let down by the suppliers of a specialist piece of kit he needed for his slot in charity event - Chef’s Night Out - Topstak stepped in, supplying him with a essential Big Green Egg BBQ.
Tomos went on to cook his meal on the ‘egg’, which was then auctioned off for £10,000 – raised in aid of Welsh Children’s Hospice, Ty Hafan. The ‘winners’ of the auction will enjoy a meal cooked in their home by Tomos for up to ten people.
This year, the event, which was held at St.David’s Hotel in Cardiff, raised a total of £155,000 for Ty Hafan.
Phil Owens, who manages Topstak’s outdoor and summer product lines says,
“When Tomos was let down at the last minute, we were delighted to supply him with a Big Green Egg. The ‘Egg’ is a fantastic piece of kit, used for barbecing food, and cooking a vast array of other foods too. The Chef’s Night Out charity fund raiser always brings in a great deal of money for worthwhile causes, and we were very happy to ensure that Tomos could take part as planned.”
Tomos Parry runs Brat in London, a top restaurant with a special open wood fire grill to provide a distinctive flavour to many dishes.
Topstak, a family-run business with showrooms in the Vale of Glamorgan and Monmouth, specialises in top quality wood burning stoves, fine kitchens and a host of other products at its two showrooms.
