Isoguard Oil 100ml – Chalked Oak

IsoGuard® is a timber treatment oil – made from natural ingredients and containing no VOCs – developed to help protect your wood from spills and marks without masking its texture and character. Put simply, it makes life easier for you. Any exposed, unpainted oak in our collection will be finished with IsoGuard®, but it does need refreshing every so often (every couple of years for most pieces, or every six months for designs that get a lot of use or those in bathrooms). Which is where this oil, made so you can refinish your piece at home, comes in. There are three, understated finishes to choose from: Natural, Seasoned and Chalked, as well as separate formulas for outdoor furniture.

Hi Victoria. Having discussed this with our interiors team, Isoguard can be used on a wood kitchen worktop so long as it is sanded back and prepared beforehand.

      Hi Gerald.
As Isoguard is an oil, the furniture would need to be sanded down in preparation before applying. This being said it is unlikely that more than one coat would be beneficial.

IsoGuard® meets the EN 71-3 toy standard and is Food Contact Compliant. While IsoGuard is safe for food contact, it’s crucial to prepare the chopping board by sanding it down to create a smooth surface and ensure it’s clean before applying the oil.
      Hope this helps
